These guys did an awesome job on my roofed composite deck. They were very accommodating  with a few changes I wanted that came up late into the job, and they even moved my 400 lb smoker for me (twice after I decided not to put it under the nice cedar). Fantastic company from start to finish.  Everyone on this project was very professional.  Cameron, the project consultant, was very patient with us with all the changes and questions we had prior to starting the project.  Project Managers, Kyle and Quinn were always available and quick to answer any questions.  Collin and Reese who were onsite doing the job were very detailed oriented and precise in what our project needed. PCF constructed our front steps project and as you can see from “before and after” pics, they did a fabulous job!!! The team of primary builder Casey, railing installer Evan w/ support from Reese and Nick were all professional, friendly and masters in their trades. Casey and Evan specifically listened to our questions and answered them to our satisfaction. I highly recommend PCF for this type of project. We hired PCF to repair the covering for our back porch. 1 beam, 1 plank, and 1 post were rotting. They replaced them with pressure treated wood. The old rotting wood was not pressure treated. They followed all of the instructions I had for sequence of the work. Everything they did was done to make sure they did the best job possible. Cristian, of People First Construction Group ( the RescomRailing part) installed 4 custom railings for us today. He did an outstanding job! Cristian was right on time, we discussed the approach for each stairway before the work started, he gave me updates throughout the project and did a thorough walk-through at the end of the day.  Cristian was extremely knowledgable and had excellent advice as to railing placement, etc.  We are more than pleased with the work Cristian did and pleased with all of our interactions with People First Construction. From the planning to the execution, the new deck is exactly what we wanted. They were very easy to work with, transparent in their pricing, and excellent in their execution. Jake and Christian built us one of the nicest decks I've seen. They were always willing to answer any question and worked relentlessly to make our dream a reality. We just had PCF Construction replace our 23 year old, second floor wrap-around deck which had been rendered unsafe.  The old one had to be completely demolished, right down to the cement "feet".  It was a month long project due to its size and components. The result, is a beautiful piece of art.  The construction team consisted of Heath, Kyle and David.  All 3 did an amazing job.  They worked hard each day.  I was impressed with their work ethics.  It was obvious they were very experienced and knowledgeable in their craft.  At the end of each day, they left the site in a clean and orderly state.  They were friendly and always polite and never hesitated to answer any questions I had.  I was always kept informed of their schedules and they kept by them.  I never had to guess who would show up or when. We also had a custom gate installed at one end of the deck for our dogs.  Kyle did an excellent job with the design and finished product.  Impressive! I should also mention our initial consult with Nick Fagerness was also very good.  He was very thorough in showing us designs and explaining everything from start to finish along with being completely transparent with the pricing.  He left no stone unturned. The end result is absolutely beautiful.  I am extremely happy with the new deck and the workmanship.  I've had a couple friends, who are in the building business tell me that the work done is high quality. The site was completely cleaned up within a couple days.  No left over piles of lumber, trash or other supplies. Everyone who has been to our home has complimented on the beauty and construction of the new deck. I had no idea that there existed outfits nearly as professional as PCF. Right from the very first call I made (based on my neighbor's referral), to the immediately scheduled sales visit, to the assessment visit, to the execution, to the regular status updates and reporting, to the change order management, to cost visibility and predictability, to the the ease of communication with the team and company, to the timing to delivery... We had a top notch experience with People Comes First. From consultation, quoting and installation it was a great experience.  At first we went with another so called "contractor" to instal our deck to try to save some money. It was a costly mistake. We ended up having to hire People Comes First to come back and correct and improve the original deck. It is a major regret we didn't go with PCF the first time.Cameron, Mario, Christian and Heath were amazing. All of my questions and concerns were taken seriously the end result speaks for itself. The old "contractor" even told his "railing guy" not to work with us directly posing a concern to get the same railing and have it match. Christian took care of everything and tracked it down. Its perfect. Our deck finally has the  Wow factor we were going for thanks to PCF. I needed a small back patio deck and two small Juliet decks replaced. I wanted to enlarge the two decks and connect them with a 15 ft catwalk. I wanted a larger company to handle some tricky design needs.  Cary White was extremely helpful and patient with getting my hand made design into reality. Very helpful and explaining all my options and offering suggestions.   Kyle was the main builder throughout and oversaw a quality flawless job.  The back office people were very good in provided status updates and reports.  Their whole communication process is excellent.   They are likely not the cheapest contractors for this type of work, but this was not the job for guys hanging out by the Home Depot. I received a really flawless deck job from PCF. I found them as Masterdecks. I needed some old decks replaced and enlarged. I was looking for a larger deck contractor, that specialized in decks as I was wanting some interesting and potentially tricky design requirements. Part of the job was replacing two small "Juliet: decks, making one into and 8'x8' deck and connecting them with a 15' catwalk, leaving the rhododendrons along the house alone, plus try to avoid hitting the sprinkler lines. Cary White, the upfront sales/design consultant was great. He spent a lot of time with us, helping to refine my original plan, and helping me decide on various design features. I really like the picture framing concept and he helped me thru railing design and mounting options. There back office communication is outstanding. They provide daily reports with pictures, highlighting what was done and any issues or problems that arose. Kyle Woodward was the main deck builder and did a superb job. Due to some illnesses and the original railing person going on family leave, they need to pulled in other folks to keep the project moving. PCF has the resources to move people around so projects don't fall behind. The workmanship is flawless and everything is solidly built and will certainly outlast me. This has been the Best Company I have ever worked with as it pertains to working with the various Trades (Architecture, Engineering, Electrical, Mechanical and Structural). They are the contractor with all the trades who are subsidiaries to them. They worked with us to design our entire project and build to what was designed. As we started talking to People Come First originally, Denny our salesman, was a huge help in coordinating our project kick-off and helping us keep the design within reason and had a great personality during the entire process. The communication was great and the workers doing the work were meticulous in building to "MAKE IT RIGHT" or "DO IT RIGHT THE FIRST TIME". Jack and Edwin were the main builders of the structures and hardware installation. When Christian filled in, he continued the expert workmanship for not working 100% on the project. All of these guys are responsible for the workmanship in the pictures. They continued to work with us when unforeseen issues arose so we could resolve them immediately. Having a project manager there really helped for us to understand why things had to be a certain way and, in the end, it made it safe and built right. Thank You Mario for being there to keep the project moving forward. During the construction phase we had various inspection signoffs required by the City and every inspection passed with Zero rework or corrections. In fact, the inspectors stated during the various inspections how much quality they were seeing in the work; this included the electrical. The electrical guys, Don and Ace had to run over 80 feet of a 125A line from the original circuit breaker for our heaters, outlets, light and fans.  They also corrected the original wiring for my outdoor lights and fountain that was installed. All these items passed inspection with no findings from the Inspectors. What about the Costs? We had multiple change orders because of upgrades we decided to include so we increased the original cost by about 35%.  It wasn't cheap, but if you are only looking to spend $50K-80K for a complete area that is 22x16 you will get what you pay for in the long run. The materials they used were also quality.  They did not get any of the wood or structural hardware from HD or Lowz.  It was delivered by a reputable small company here in my area and who most locals go, to get quality wood and beams. I would recommend them to anyone, but if you are looking to save money, then they are probably not your first choice. If you want a no hassle company that provides workmanship and cares about the outcome and reputation, then have People Come First (PCF) build your dream deck. They also have a model set-up in Kent off Central if you want to see what they do, or you can see some of my pictures of their work. ALL employees with this company were professional and very, very respectful. The projected construction start date was spot on. During construction one small issue arose that I noticed on a Friday... the PM called me the following Saturday morning (I couldn't believe it) to hear my concern and let me know how it would be addressed. First thing the following Monday the carpenter reviewed with me how my concern would be addressed and asked for my approval before proceeding. An hour after the carpenter completed the job and left my home, a truck arrived and picked up and removed construction debris. The enhancements and repairs made to my deck far exceeded my expectations. It looks much more sophisticated and, I believe, has added more value to the home. As a result of the entire experience from the sales visit to the job inspection, I developed a great deal of trust in this company. This was one of the best experiences I've ever had w/ a contractor!  Carrie did an amazing job w/ a super transparent quote, no hidden gotcha's.  But the two guys in the trench's day in and day out were Nick and Landon.  On time every day, super nice, went the extra mile and equally important - total pros of their craft!  I can now entertain under my deck with no drips.  I highly highly recommend! I called PCF CONSTRUCTION/MASTERDECKS the summer of 2023, with the intention of removing 7 steps that were deteriorating and building back new steps, and hoping this company would take on this small job. The company set-up a consultation with Clayton Brumbaugh, who was a Project Consultant at the time, to come to my home and see what I wanted done. After talking and discussing my project, I knew this was the right company for the job. However, my project could not start right away, due to their active summer schedule and my upcoming surgery for a knee replacement. Also my recovery from the surgery and rehabilitation took months before I was able to walk. I was given two Project Managers, Ryan Quinn and Mario Poposki; with Ryan being as my primary person. After finally settling on a start date, the work began. I was introduced to Kyle, who would be demolishing my old steps and building the new steps. Every morning he came and put in a full days work and every evening he cleaned up the area. The steps turned out beautiful, and I complimented him on his work. However, he had built 6 steps instead of 7, which at the time, didn’t matter. It wasn’t until a few days later, when I realized there was a bit of a problem. After Kyle had removed the tarp which was protecting my bluestone pavers; I saw my original aggregate stone flooring that my old steps covered when they were built. So I really needed the 7 steps built to hide the aggregate. After discussing with Ryan and sending him photos I took of the patch of exposed aggregate, he suggested I could have the steps totally made over. And even though the new steps looked lovely, I was so grateful he offered to have them redone with 7 steps. It was also important to have the 7th step, as I was having lights put into 3 of the steps risers. And without that additional step, it threw-off the design of the lights. The demolition of the new steps and the building of the second set of steps were done by Tyson. And they too, came out exceptional. Also, Tyson kept everything cleaned up and worked long hours and got the job done a little quicker than Kyle. But both guys had great craftsmanship and it showed. I also would like to mention about the lights in the steps risers. The original lights were incandescent, which one bulb was already burned out. I asked if they could be replaced with LED lights, which Ryan researched, and made that happen. In addition to the new steps with lights, I also wanted lights put-in on the steps risers leading to my garage deck patio. I needed 2 sets of lights on 2 steps, which Kyle added. However, the company that supplied PCF, gave them 2 bright white lights and 2 soft white lights. Both Ryan and Mario were able to bring about the exchange of bright lights for the soft lights. My experience with PCF has been completely positive. Beautiful workmanship, great communication, and pleasant employees. I recommend PCF (People Come First).
