PCF Construction Group Takes Gold + Bronze in Qualified Remodeler’s Master Design Awards
Two projects. One national category. Gold and Bronze.
People Come First Construction Group has earned two national honors in Qualified Remodeler’s 2026 Master Design Awards, taking GOLD and BRONZE in the Outdoor Living Over $200,000 category.
Earning one Master Design Award is an accomplishment. Having two separate PCF projects recognized among the top projects in the same category makes this year’s result particularly meaningful.
Together, the Gold and Bronze awards recognize what PCF Construction Group and its family of specialty brands work to accomplish every day: creating outdoor environments that go far beyond a traditional deck or patio to become true extensions of the home.
A National Competition for Exceptional Remodeling
Qualified Remodeler’s Master Design Awards is an annual national competition recognizing outstanding achievement in residential remodeling, design and construction.
Projects are evaluated by a panel of industry experts, with Gold, Silver and Bronze honors awarded to exceptional entries across categories spanning whole-home remodeling, additions, kitchens, bathrooms, specialty construction and outdoor living.
Placements are not simply automatic first-, second- and third-place designations. Judges have discretion to award fewer honors within a category when entries do not warrant them.
That makes each Master Design Award an earned distinction—and makes receiving two awards within the same category especially noteworthy.
Gold + Bronze in Outdoor Living Over $200,000
PCF’s two winning projects were both recognized in Outdoor Living Over $200,000, a category dedicated to substantial outdoor projects that extend the usable living area of the home.
These are not simply deck projects.
At this level, outdoor living can require the coordination of complex structures, multiple trades, engineering, utilities, hardscaping, covered areas, kitchens, fire features, lighting, spas and other amenities—all while creating an environment that feels cohesive with the architecture of the home and the surrounding landscape.
Taking both Gold and Bronze in this category demonstrates something particularly meaningful about PCF’s capabilities: nationally recognized outdoor living isn’t represented by just one exceptional project in our portfolio.
Two very different PCF projects earned their places among the best.
GOLD: Outdoor Living Designed Around the Pacific Northwest
PCF’s GOLD-winning project exemplifies Pacific Northwest living at its finest: a backyard that feels immersed in its natural surroundings while functioning throughout the seasons.
Designed for a family that wanted both a place for their children to spend more time outside and a retreat where they could relax, the project was heavily influenced by the beauty—and realities—of the Pacific Northwest.
The elevated deck was reimagined with features including a grilling station, skylights and built-in heaters. Beyond it, a three-tiered outdoor environment incorporates a sauna, plunge pool and jacuzzi, with stone pavers and composite decking connecting the spaces.
Weather was also an integral part of the design process. Materials and construction details needed to account for the Pacific Northwest’s wet climate while supporting a four-season outdoor lifestyle.
The result is an outdoor environment where recreation, relaxation and nature come together in one cohesive experience.

BRONZE: Turning an Extraordinary Challenge Into Extraordinary Outdoor Living
PCF’s Bronze-winning project demonstrates what becomes possible when design, engineering, craftsmanship and problem-solving come together.
Built on a steep Pacific Northwest hillside, the project presented challenges long before the first board was installed. Limited access meant conventional excavation equipment could not reach the backyard, requiring extensive work to be completed by hand.
The solution ultimately transformed terrain that had been difficult to use into a substantial multi-level outdoor living environment.
Rather than treating the hillside as an obstacle, the project used it as the framework for a vertically connected series of outdoor spaces. Multiple levels, structural and engineering considerations, integrated utilities and carefully planned circulation came together to dramatically expand the home’s usable living footprint.
The result isn’t simply an impressive deck.
It’s an example of outdoor living created where outdoor living was inherently difficult to create—and the kind of complex construction challenge PCF was built to solve.

More Than Beautiful Spaces
Beautiful photography can capture the finished product, but projects of this scale tell a much larger story.
Behind every finished outdoor environment are engineering decisions, site constraints, material selections, construction challenges and hundreds of details that have to work together.
That’s one reason recognition from the Master Design Awards is particularly meaningful to our team.
The competition recognizes not simply what a project looks like when it’s finished, but excellence in the design and construction behind it.
For PCF, receiving Gold and Bronze in the same national Outdoor Living Over $200,000 category validates the depth of expertise represented throughout our organization—from design and project planning through construction and the specialized trades required to bring these environments to life.
Building a National Reputation for Outdoor Living
These awards also arrive during a significant year for People Come First Construction Group.
Earlier in 2026, Qualified Remodeler featured one of PCF’s outdoor living projects in its Outdoor Planning Guide, highlighting the company’s approach to designing substantial outdoor spaces for Pacific Northwest conditions.
PCF was also recognized on Qualified Remodeler’s 2026 TOP 500, ranking #142 among remodeling companies nationwide.
Together, these recognitions tell an important story.
The TOP 500 recognizes the scale PCF has achieved as a remodeling organization.
The Master Design Awards recognize the caliber of the work behind that growth.
And earning both Gold and Bronze for high-end outdoor living reinforces the vision behind People Come First Construction Group: bringing specialized brands, talented craftspeople and complementary expertise together to deliver extraordinary outdoor spaces.
Two Projects. Two National Awards. One Team.
Every award ultimately belongs to the people who made the project possible.
From the teams who developed the initial vision to those who engineered, managed, built, wired, finished and perfected each space, these projects represent the collective expertise found across PCF Construction Group.
Most importantly, they began with homeowners who trusted our teams with their homes, their ideas and a significant investment in how their families would live.
We’re proud to see that work recognized nationally.
