FAQ: What Does The Permit Admin Fee Cover

The permit admin fee helps cover the additional labor and coordination required when special conditions apply to your project.

Examples include:

  • Third-party scheduling and inspections that may be required during the build process.
  • Structural engineer reviews, including incorporating geotech reports into calculations.
  • Environmental Critical Areas (ECAs) such as steep slope hazards, erosion hazards, wetlands, or protected wildlife areas—each of which comes with strict regulations to follow.

Because not every project requires this extra work, the admin fee is not built into our standard pricing. It is charged only when necessary and is a one-time fee, even if your property has multiple ECAs.

This ensures fairness and transparency while covering the extra steps required to meet all regulations and deliver a safe, compliant project.
